WingFy Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
Privacy Policy Requirements
Under the Google API Service: User Data Policy, WingFy adheres to strict guidelines to ensure the protection of user data. This document outlines how our application accesses, uses, stores, and shares Google user data.
Google User Data
WingFy uses Google login to facilitate user access without requiring a separate registration. We collect only the user’s email address and name, which are stored in our secure database. This information is used solely to provide a personalized experience and manage user accounts. We do not share this data with third parties except as required by law or for the operation of our services.
Media
When uploading images to our site, please ensure they do not contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). We may collect some location information related to your visit and the images you upload to the site.
Comments
If visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and the visitor’s IP address to help with spam detection.
If you are a Gravatar user, we use an anonymized string derived from your email to check if that service is being used. This will display your profile picture to the public, which can be useful in a comment context when people reply.
Cookies
When you leave a comment on our site, we might save your name, email, and website in cookies. This way, you don’t have to type in your details again when you leave another comment. If you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to see if your browser accepts cookies.
When you log in, we’ll set up a few cookies to save your login info and how you like your screen to look. These cookies don’t have any personal info and are deleted when you close your browser.
If you edit or publish an article, we’ll save an extra cookie in your browser. This cookie doesn’t contain personal data and just shows the post ID of the article you edited. If you choose “Remember Me”, your login will last for two weeks.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Sometimes, we include stuff from other websites (like videos, images, articles) on our site. When you interact with this embedded content, it’s just like you visited the other website. These sites might collect data about you, use cookies, add extra tracking, and monitor how you interact with the content.
How Long We Retain Your Data
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect information shown in the comments form, as well as the IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. If you wish, your name can be saved as a cookie to automatically fill in comment fields next time. This helps us recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you register on our website, we store the personal information provided in your user profile. You can view, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except changing your username). Administrators of the website can also access and edit this information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
You can ask us for a copy of all the personal data we have about you. This includes anything you’ve shared with us. You can also ask us to delete your personal data. However, this doesn’t include any data we have to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Data Sharing
Visitor comments might be checked through an automated spam detection service. If you ask for a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. We implement various measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. If you are located outside of the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including personal data, to the United States and process it there.
Your Consent
By using our service, you consent to our privacy policy.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy periodically. We recommend that you review this page occasionally for any changes. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
